Summary
The main goal of the project is to create a system for the support of network optimization of public transport, so that its planning will use advanced computational methods. The proposed optimization approach will be described in a methodology certified by the Ministry of Transport. It is expected that the results generated within the project will be validated in the last year of the project on case studies in two cities (Prague and Ostrava), where public transport plays a key role in terms of population mobility. A higher level of coordination is expected to increase the attractiveness and competitiveness of public transport in relation to individual car transport, which, in large cities in particular, causes significant negative impacts on the quality of life of the population.
