About study programme
This field is focused on state-of-the-art information technologies, design and building of information and control systems, employment of automation in control and regulation of technological processes. Much attention is paid to
advanced control techniques and systems. Graduates will apply as designers of the measurement, diagnostic and control systems of industrial processes.
Graduate's employment
Branch graduates distinguish themselves through their adaptability and specialized versatility, through a given and motivational selection of optional subjects and the theme of bachelor work according to a chosen specialization. They are able to solve complex technical tasks with respect to the economic, society, ethic and ecological aspects. They may choose specialization Informatics or Automated Equipment.
Graduates will be applied as designers of measurement, diagnostic and control systems for industrial equipments, as well as specialists providing operation, adjustment, programming, diagnostics, maintenance and repair of complex manufacturing and technology units. Graduates are also easy to focus related engineering fields.
Study aims
This specialized bachelor study comes out of a combined mechanical base and expands it into an interdisciplinary approach into the areas of automation, control and applied informatics. Branch graduates distinguish themselves through their adaptability and specialized versatility, through a given and motivational selection of optional subjects and the theme of bachelor work according to a chosen specialization. They are employed as technical-operational specialists in various technical branches using computer equipment, but also in managerial and marketing positions. Graduates are also prepared to directly continue in the follow-up branch of masters study. Together with a selected diploma work, a student chooses a specialization: Informatics, Automated Equipment.
Graduate's knowledge
Graduates will gain a broad understanding of the concepts and methods in design and operation of measurement, diagnostic and control systems for industrial equipments. They also gain knowledge of the theory and application of automation and information technology into practical use of computers and networks in various fields of computer aided process control and technical-economic tasks.
Graduate's skills
Based on the knowledge graduates will be able to solve practical problems in implementing computer aided production management systems. They will be able to use the tools of visualization software for industrial automation and design and create simple Web applications of information systems, configure the operating system for the administrator to create a simple network and manage them. From the design of measurement, control and diagnostics systems, graduates will be able to find, organize and interpret information relevant to solving practical problems. They will be able to design and implement a simple application of logic control, adjust the parameters of PID controllers.
Graduate's general competence
Within design of computer aided systems graduates gain experience in teamwork, learn to coordinate the team. In addition to custom solutions of bachelor work, the emphasis on treatment quality, sufficiently large and critical search solved the problem, not just magazines and books, but also by using Internet search engines. Emphasis is placed on the ability to use advanced computational methods to effectively evaluate the outcomes and technical measurement. Graduates are equipped with the skills and knowledge that enable them to grow their professional involvement in the creative process or proceeding in the master study.
