About study programme
After years of technical diagnostics was of marginal interest to owners and especially economists companies like something completely unnecessary, since only inefficiently by resources, the situation changes dramatically. Proper application of elements of technical diagnostics in the operation of a modern enterprise becomes a matter of course, leading to higher operational reliability, durability, precision manufacturing and economic savings. This brings an increased interest in workers skilled in this area, including graduates Technical diagnostics, repair and maintenance. The result is that not only our students, but also a number of active students is seamlessly applied in many modern societies.
Graduate's employment
The objective of the bachelor study (Bc.) is to educate students for the position of a maintenance manager and in the follow-up master study (Ing.) for the position of maintenance engineer. The graduates of this branch, respectively this specialization, find employment in the maintenance management branches of production companies as operational diagnosticians and diagnostic analysts, tribilogists, managers and so on. They can also become designers and planners ensuring the diagnostics and service of productive machines and equipment. The graduates of the bachelor degree get technician’s and manager’s necessary knowledge during the study of theoretic, applied and field subjects. He is acknowledged with skills and knowledge which enables his creative integration into the production process or his continuation in the master degree. A graduate of the master degree gets a wide range of knowledge as a technician-manager during the study of theoretic, applied and field subjects. His specialization is the area of maintenance of the machines and equipment as a procedural technical activity. He becomes an expert and professional supported with deep knowledge and skills which enables his professional and creative development in the production and management, development of new solutions or continuation in the PhD study.
Study aims
It is the first study branch and specialization of its kind conceived in the Czech Republic and accredited as a bachelor programme with a follow-up master study and it can continue as a PhD study “The Construction of Productive Machines and Equipment”. Graduates of this branch or specialization obtain knowledge on how to solve problems ensuring the operational reliability of machines and equipment. This covers the areas of technical diagnostics and the design of diagnostic systems, the management and planning of maintenance, lubrication and lubricating systems, solving operational life problems and other areas of knowledge and experience from the field of service operation for the productive machines and equipment including their construction.
