About study programme
The study area is focused on the optimal operation and management of energy facilities in engineering, metallurgical, chemical, food, transport companies, and particularly in the energy sector. Students are acquainted with the deeper issues of service and operation of energy equipment, methods of energy management and marketing. The content of studies is an area of energy technologies, industrial power, gas, water and alternative energy sources. Students will acquire knowledge in matters of achieving energy savings, the development trends of new energy technologies in industry, construction, agriculture, transport and use of renewable and secondary energy sources.
Graduate's employment
Application in practice as graduates find operational, engineering and management personnel in power plants and heating plants, the energy units in all types of industrial enterprises in the transport organizations, and non-manufacturing sector, also in the departments of government. Otherwise as designers of power distribution, heating companies, heat supply systems, water treatment and sewage plants, and inspection and testing engineers. Graduates can continue their study of two-year Master degree program "Power machines and equipments" one of the following focus:
"Heat energy equipment and industrial power“,
"Alternative Energy Technology and Environment",
"The construction of steam boilers and heating equipment" and
“Nuclear energy facilities“.

Graduate's knowledge
Technical knowledge of a graduate is specialized in the area on the problem basics of designing, operating and controlling energy equipment, whether it be “big” power engineering, working in electrical and thermal energy distribution or in industrial energy management, in plants and in companies of various specializations. Part of the study content deals with the transformation of chemical fuel energy into thermal energy and alternatively further into mechanical energy. Another part deals with various power machines such as compressors, ventilators, co-generation units and similar areas. According to his/her own decision, a student completes this compulsory part by selecting an compulsory-optional subject with knowledge from the branch of nuclear power engineering, alternative and renewable sources of energy, waste management and other areas.
Graduate's skills
A graduate is able to apply the learned skills in special practice.
Graduate's general competence
In practice, graduates can find employment as design, operational, inspection or management staff in lower positions in industry, transport and in civil administration sections and in other areas.
