Metallography Sample Preparation Laboratory (E425): It is equipped with STRUERS instruments that are used to collect and prepare samples for metallographic testing. The automatic and manual cutting of the samples, and the grinding and polishing of the samples are carried out here. Ground (macrostructure) or polished (microstructure) samples are etched with various types of etching agents to make the structure visible. The laboratory also includes a laboratory furnace with a maximum temperature of 1280 °C.
